What is Thrill The World?

Thrill The World is a worldwide attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Dance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

Thousands of people in cities around the world will learn the "Thriller" dance, and perform it together at the same time on October 24th 2009 (or October 25th in other parts of the world). It is a tribute to Michael Jackson!

Thrill the World Creator & Director, Ines Markeljevic, coordinates this massive and worldwide event every year. Last year she gathered 4,179 people all around the world to dance at the same time! For more information about the amazing Thrill the World movement, please go to:

Thrill the World Racine 2009!

On Saturday October 24th 2009 we will be holding a Thrill The World event here in Racine, Wisconsin. This is the first time Racine is going to participate in Thrill The World and it is very exciting (see the flyer):

The goal is to gather 300 people in Racine and do the Thriller Dance Choreography starting exactly at 7:30 pm on Saturday October 24th! Meanwhile, across the world, thousands of people will be dancing the Thriller Dance with us at the same time. 

It is a Halloween party! We encourage everyone to dress up as a Zombie or in a Halloween costume (there will be prizes for best zombie and best costume). This party will be held at Kurt Sports Complex (720 College Avenue, Downtown Racine), and the entrance fee is $10 in advance or $20 at the door. The proceeds will go toward The Beach Wheelchair Project (do not confuse with The Blair Witch Project).

The purpose of The Beach Wheelchair Project is to help the North Beach Oasis to build a system infrastructure to enable disabled people to have better access to Racine's beautiful beach on Lake Michigan. The picture below shows the first beach wheelchair purchased with donations from this project.  

Who Can Take Part of Thrill The World?

Anyone and Everyone! There's no experience necessary. You don't have to be a dancer, we will all learn the dance together. At the day of the event, it will be a Thriller Dance Workshop from 5 to 7 pm to learn and practice Michael Jackson's legendary Thriller Choreography!

Please remember that we will have a Boogie afterwards with music and lots of dancing! Drinks and food awill be also vailable for purchase and prizes for costume contest winners!"
